Blessed Bartholomew De Vir, also known as Bartholomew of Laon and Bartholomew of Foigny, was a distinguished figure in the Catholic Church, serving as the Bishop of Laon, France from 1113 to 1151. He is credited with playing a crucial role in the foundation of the Premonstratensian Order, alongside Saint Norbert of Xanten.

Bartholomew was born in an unknown year, and the details of his childhood and early life are scarce. However, his impact on the Catholic Church can be traced back to his appointment as the Bishop of Laon, a city in northern France.
