Blessed Benedict of Greccio, also known as Blessed Benedetto da Greccio, was a thirteenth-century Franciscan friar hailing from Rieti, Italy. Born in an unknown year, he devoted his life to the ideals of the Franciscan order, which emphasized poverty, simplicity, and the imitation of Christ.
