Biography
Blessed Bernardine of Feltre, born into nobility as the eldest of nine children in Feltre, Italy, was marked from childhood by a speech impediment. His life took a decisive turn during Lent 1456 in Padua, where he heard the preaching of Saint James of the Marches. Moved by this encounter, he entered the Order of Friars Minor in May
