Blessed Bernardo Sáiz Gutiérrez, also known as Gabriel, was a distinguished member of the Redemptorists and a devout priest who ultimately gave up his life in martyrdom during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on July 23, 1896, in the town of Melgosa, Burgos, Spain.
