Blessed Bosone of Chiaravalle, also known as Boson, was born in the early 12th century into the noble family of Italy. Little is known about his early life, but it is recorded that he was one of the first individuals to be drawn to the monastic life through the guidance of the renowned Saint Bernard of Clairvaux.

Inspired by his encounter with Saint Bernard, Bosone made the decision to dedicate his life to God and entered the monastery of Chiaravalle. The Cistercian Order, known for its strict observance of the Rule of Saint Benedict, provided the ideal environment for Bosone's spiritual growth and development. He embraced the rigorous monastic routine and devoted himself to deepening his relationship with God through prayer, contemplation, and asceticism.
