Biography

Blessed Claudio of San Romano, also known as Blessed Claudio of Morocco, was a Mercedarian friar who lived during the 14th century. While there is limited information available about his life, his accomplishments and acts of virtue are significant.

Born into a humble family, Claudio dedicated his life to the service of God and joined the Mercedarian Order, also known as the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy. This religious order was established with the primary mission of ransoming Christians who were held captive by non-Christians, particularly Muslims.
