Biography

Blessed Demetrios of Philadelphia, also known as Demetrius, Dimitrios, or Dimitri, was born to a devout Orthodox priest in an undisclosed year. At the tender age of thirteen, he made the difficult decision to convert from Christianity to Islam. However, as he grew older and matured, a deep sense of remorse and realization began to take hold of him.
