Biography

Blessed Demetrius of Milan, also known as Demetrio, was born in late 15th century Milan, Italy. He lived in a time of political unrest, and as a young man, Demetrius took up arms and served as a soldier in Hungary and Albania. However, his life took a decisive turn when he experienced a profound conversion and felt a strong calling to devote his life to his faith.
