Biography

Blessed Diego of Valdieri, also known as Diego Valderius, was a devout Franciscan friar minor who was born in Valdieri, Italy. He is best known for his missionary work in the Pinerolo region where he was sent to preach against Waldensianism, a Christian movement that had separated from the Catholic Church.
