Biography

Blessed Doroteo Barrionuevo Peña was a priest of the diocese of Córdoba, Spain, serving in the Aldea de Cuenca community. He was born on 20 July 1902 in Dos Torres, Córdoba, Spain, and he dedicated himself to a life of faith and service to others.

Blessed Doroteo's beatification was celebrated on 16 October 2021 at the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Córdoba, Spain. The ceremony was presided over by Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, and it marked a significant step in honoring Blessed Doroteo's holiness and sacrifice.
