Blessed Francisco Míguez Fernández, also known as Francisco Fernández González, was a Salesian priest who is recognized as a martyr for his faith during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on February 9, 1887, in the village of Corvillón, located in the province of Pontevedra, Spain.
From an early age, Francisco displayed a deep devotion to God and a strong desire to serve others. He joined the Salesian Congregation, a religious order founded by Saint John Bosco, known for their dedication to the education and spiritual formation of young people. Francisco embraced the Salesian charism and grew in holiness, becoming a model and inspiration to those around him.
