Biography

Blessed Gaspar Koteda, also known as Gaspar Kodawake, was a young layman catechist in the archdiocese of Nagasaki, Japan. He was born in 1601 in Nagasaki, Japan, during a time when the Catholic faith was heavily suppressed in the country. Gaspar was known for his strong faith and his deep devotion to spreading the teachings of the Catholic Church.
