Blessed Gautier Di Esterp, also known as Gautier de Limousin, Gualterio, Gualtiero, and Walter, was born in the year 990 at Conflans Castle in Aquitaine, which is now modern France. He was born into the French nobility and received an excellent education from the Augustinians at Dorat, France.
