Biography

Blessed Gertrude of Trzebnica, also known as Saint Gertrude of Trzebnica, was born around the year 1200. She was the daughter of Saint Hedwig of Silesia and Duke Henry I, making her a member of the noble Piast dynasty. Gertrude was engaged to the Count Palatine Otto of Wittelsbach, but tragically, he passed away before their wedding could take place.
