Biography

Blessed Girolamo of Mondovè, also known as Girolamo of Montpellier, was born in Mondovè, Italy. Little is known about his early life, but it was through a divine revelation that he entered religious life. In a vision, the Blessed Virgin Mary herself appeared to Girolamo and directed him to join the Mercedarian Order. Girolamo heeded this call and entered the order, dedicating himself to the service of God and the liberation of captives.
