Biography

Blessed Godeschalk of Želiv, also known as Godeschalcus of Želiv, Gottschalk of Želiv, was a Premonstratensian canon born circa 1126 in Cologne, Germany. He dedicated his life to spiritual service and played a pivotal role in the revival of an abandoned Benedictine monastery, located in Želiv, modern-day Czech Republic.
