Biography

Blessed Guillermo Giraldi, also known as Guillem Giraldi, was a Mercedarian friar and the Prior of the Mercedarian convent in Barcelona, Spain. He is best known for his remarkable efforts in rescuing Christian slaves held captive by Muslims during his two trips to North Africa. Born in an unknown date and place, Giraldi devoted his life to serving God and aiding those who were oppressed.
