Biography

Blessed José Gutiérrez Arranz, also known as Blessed José Arranz, was an Augustinian priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on 14 April 1883 in Zuzones, Burgos, Spain. José dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church, joining the Order of St. Augustine and embracing a life of prayer, study, and community life.
