Blessed José Gutiérrez Arranz, also known as Blessed José Arranz, was an Augustinian priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on 14 April 1883 in Zuzones, Burgos, Spain. José dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church, joining the Order of St. Augustine and embracing a life of prayer, study, and community life.
Ordained as a priest, Blessed José Gutiérrez Arranz served faithfully in various parishes in Spain. He was known for his deep devotion to God and his commitment to the spiritual well-being of his parishioners. His life was marked by a profound love for the Eucharist and a dedication to the sacraments. José was highly regarded for his pastoral care and his ability to bring God's love to those in need.
