Biography

Blessed Josep Garriga Ferrer, also known as "Blessed Joseph Garriga Ferrer," was a Catholic priest from the archdiocese of Tarragona, Spain. He was born on March 13, 1872, in Cabra del Camp, a village located in the province of Tarragona.

Blessed Josep Garriga Ferrer dedicated his life to serving the Church and the people of his community. He pursued his religious vocation and was ordained a priest in the archdiocese of Tarragona. As a priest, he carried out his pastoral duties with great dedication and love, providing spiritual guidance to his flock.

Tragically, during the Spanish Civil War, Blessed Josep Garriga Ferrer became a victim of religious persecution. On July 25, 1936, in the city of Reus, located in the province of Tarragona, he was brutally martyred for his faith. He remained steadfast in his beliefs until the very end, refusing to renounce his commitment to Christ and the Catholic Church.
