Blessed Juan de Montesinos, also known as Blessed Juan Montesinos, was a Mercedarian friar, missionary, and martyr. Born in an unspecified year, not much is known about his early life and background. The friars of this order conducted daring missions across North Africa, where they negotiated the release of those imprisoned due to their faith.
