Biography

Blessed Laurentí Basil Matas, also known as Father Anselm de Olot, was a devout Franciscan Capuchin who dedicated his life to serving God and his fellow human beings. He made his profession on 20 October 1907, embracing the religious life within the Capuchin Order. His commitment and deep spirituality led him to be ordained as a priest on 13 June 1908.
