Biography

Blessed Leopold of Gaiche, also known as Giovanni Croci or Leopold Croci, was born on October 30, 1732, in Gaiche di Piegaro, Perugia, Italy. Coming from a humble peasant family, Leopold showed signs of a religious calling from a young age. At the age of 19, he joined the Franciscan Order and dedicated himself to a life of contemplation and service to God.
