Biography

Blessed Lorenzo of Ripafratta, also known as Lorenzo of Pisa, was born into the Italian nobility in the year around 1373, in Ripafratta, Italy. His family had a long-standing military tradition and was responsible for safeguarding the outer defenses of the city of Pisa. However, Lorenzo felt a strong calling to the religious life, and despite his family's expectations, he pursued his vocation to become a priest.
