Blessed Mariano Alarcón Ruiz, also known as Father José Mariano of the Angels, was a Discalced Carmelite priest who was martyred during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on 24 November 1912 in Murcia, Spain, and died on 17 December 1936 in Badalona, Barcelona, Spain.
