From a young age, Marieanne exhibited a deep commitment to her faith and a strong desire to dedicate her life to serving God.

Marieanne entered the Ursuline order, a religious congregation founded in the 16th century with a focus on education and the spiritual formation of girls and young women. She embraced the charism of the Ursulines and displayed exceptional dedication to her vocation, earning her the name "Sister Saint Francis" among her peers.

During the tumultuous period of the French Revolution, the Ursuline convent in Orange, Vaucluse, where Marieanne resided, became a target for anticlerical forces. Marieanne's holy life and selfless sacrifice did not go unnoticed by the faithful. Pope Pius XI, recognizing her martyrdom, venerated her on 19 March 1925 through a decree. Subsequently, on 10 May 1925, Pope Pius XI beatified Sister Marieanne Lambert, officially declaring her a Blessed of the Catholic Church.

Although specific details about Marieanne Lambert's biographical information may be limited, her steadfast commitment to her faith, her devotion to the Ursuline order, and her martyrdom make her a revered figure within the Catholic Church. Her feast day is celebrated on 13 July, and she is also honored on 9 July as one of the Martyrs of Orange, commemorating the sacrifice of various religious individuals during the French Revolution.
