Biography
Blessed Miguel Zarragua Iturrízaga, also known as Leon, was born on 11 April 1870 in Yorreta, Vizcaya, Spain. He was baptized on the same day at the church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Yorreta. At the age of 23, Miguel joined the Franciscan Friars Minor and took the name Miguel. He made his solemn vows on 9 September 1893, dedicating his life to the service of God and his fellow human beings.
