Blessed Christopher Buxton, also known as Blessed Christopher Button, was born in 1562 in Tideswell, Derbyshire, England. He grew up in a time of religious persecution during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, a period marked by harsh penalties for those who adhered to the Catholic faith.
