Biography
Blessed Nicola Paglia was born to the Italian nobility. In his youth, he received a vision of an angel who warned him not to eat meat, foretelling that he would one day join a religious order with a permanent rule of abstinence. While studying at the university in Bologna, Italy, Nicola heard the preaching of Saint Dominic de Guzman and was so moved that he resolved to follow the great founder....
