Biography
Blessed Odo of Cambrai, also known as Odo of Orleans and by his Latin name Odoardus, was born in 1050 in Orleans, France. He grew up to become one of the most learned French scholars of the 11th century. Odo initially served as the layman headmaster of the cathedral school at Tournai in 1087, where he dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge.
