Blessed Pascual AraguÖs Y GuÖrdia, also known as Francesco Araguas e Carmen Guardia, was born on 17 May 1899 in Pont de Claverol, Pallars JussÖ, Lleida, Spain. He hailed from a devout and impoverished family, which instilled in him a strong piety from an early age.
