Blessed Paul of Africa was an esteemed Mercedarian friar and adult convert to Christianity. Born in North Africa, not much is known about his early life and background. However, his significant journey towards Christianity began when he witnessed the steadfast faith of another Blessed individual, Thomas Vives, during his martyrdom.
