Blessed Pedro of Alcobaça, also known as Pedro Hispano or Pedro Portuguese, was a pious Cistercian monk who lived in the 12th century. He was closely associated with the renowned Monastery of Alcobaça, located in Portugal, which was founded in 1153 by King Afonso Henriques. Although many extravagant tales and legends circulated about him, often attributing royal connections to him, it is important to note that the details of his life remain shrouded in uncertainty.
