Biography

Blessed Peter Acotanto, also known as Peter of Venice, was born into a wealthy Venetian patrician family in the 12th century. Although he had material comfort and privilege, he felt called to a life of deep spiritual dedication and self-denial. Inspired by the Gospel teachings, Peter made the courageous decision to renounce his worldly possessions, distributing his wealth among the poor.
