Biography

Blessed Petrus Kawano, also known as Blessed Peter Kawano, was born in 1615 in Nagasaki, Japan. He was the son of Blessed Marina Tanaura, a devout Catholic, who instilled a strong sense of faith in her son from an early age. Petrus grew up in a time when Christians in Japan were facing intense persecution due to the government's prohibition on Christianity.
