Biography
Blessed Ponzio of Villeneuve, also known as Ponce, was a Benedictine monk and served as the abbot of the Abbey of Sant’André in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, France from 1063 to 1087. Born in an unknown year, his noble lineage was evidenced by the fact that his brother monks included his blood brother and his father, who most likely joined the monastery later in life.
