Blessed Ramón Grimaltos Monllor was born on 3 March 1861 in Puebla Larga, a small village in the province of Valencia, Spain. Little is known about his early life, but he eventually joined the Society of Jesus, becoming a Jesuit brother in 1890. As a Jesuit, Ramón dedicated his life to serving God and others through his religious vocation.

During the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War, Ramón Grimaltos Monllor was martyred for his faith on 23 August 1936 in Tavernes de Valldigna, a town in the province of Valencia. The exact circumstances surrounding his martyrdom remain unclear, but it is believed that he was targeted and killed because of his religious beliefs.
