Biography

Blessed Roger, a devoted disciple of Saint Francis of Assisi, entered the Franciscan Order in 1216, embracing the humble and evangelical life his spiritual master exemplified. Renowned for his profound piety and unwavering commitment to the Gospel, Blessed Roger became a vessel of God's grace within the early Franciscan community. His life was marked by the extraordinary gift of miracles, through which he alleviated suffering and brought hope to the afflicted. He also possessed the prophetic gift, offering guidance and warnings that were later recognized as divinely inspired, strengthening the faith of his brothers and the faithful he encountered.
