Blessed Wenceslao Pedernera, born on September 28, 1936, in Los Jagüeles, La Calera, San Luis, Argentina, was a married layman and devout Catholic of the diocese of La Rioja. He is best known for his dedication to serving the Church and his instrumental role in the establishment of the Movimiento Rural Catolico (Rural Catholic Movement).
