Saint Anthelme

The resilience of faith often shines most brightly in the face of natural disaster, and nowhere is this more evident than in the life of the bishop who served the diocese of Belley. While the historical record of this holy man is sparse, the account of his tenure offers a compelling portrait of leadership defined by charity and perseverance. The narrative centers on a moment of profound crisis at the Grande Certosa, where the physical structures of the monastic community were shattered by an abundant snowfall.
