Réginald Marie Garrigou-Lagrange, born on February 21, 1877, and died on February 15, 1964, was a French Dominican friar, philosopher, and theologian. He is recognized as one of the distinguished neo-Thomist theologians of the 20th century, alongside Édouard Hugon and Martin Grabmann. Garrigou-Lagrange served as a professor at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome from 1909 to 1959, where he taught dogmatic and spiritual theology. He authored The Three Ages of the Interior Life (Les trois âges de la vie intérieure) in 1938. His contributions to theological scholarship have left a lasting legacy within the Church.
