Biografía

Saint Augebert of Champagne was captured in England and sold into slavery in France, enduring the hardships of captivity far from his homeland. He was eventually ransomed from bondage through the intervention of Pope Saint Gregory the Great, who was known for his efforts to free enslaved Christians. Having received his freedom, Augebert was ordained as a deacon and trained as a missionary, preparing to return to England to spread the Gospel among his own people. Tragically, before he could embark on his mission, he was murdered by pagans, dying as a martyr. His story testifies to the faith that sustained him through slavery and inspired his desire to bring the light of Christ to others.
