Saint Adjutor, born on July 24, 1073, in Vernon, France, was a knight who participated in the First Crusade and later became a hermit at the Abbey of Trion. Tradition holds that during his time in the Crusades, he was captured by Muslims and attempted to force him to abandon his faith. According to legend, Adjutor escaped persecution by swimming back to France....
