Born around 1150 in Brustem, near Sint-Truiden, Belgium, Christina the Astonishing was a Christian holy woman known for her extraordinary miracles and legendary resurrection during her funeral mass. Thomas of Cantimpré wrote a hagiography based on accounts from people who knew her, making her widely known outside of Sint-Truiden....
