Saint Eulogio

Biography
The gleam of the sword and the finality of the blade mark the end of a life dedicated to the service of the Divine. In the ancient city of Cordoba, nestled within the heart of Andalusia, Spain, a priest gave the ultimate testimony of his vocation. This holy man, known through the ages as Eulogio, did not flee from the danger that threatened his community. Instead, he stood firm in the face of peril, choosing a path of radical openness regarding his devotion to Christ. His life concluded not in the quiet of a monastery or the safety of a home, but in the public square, where he was beheaded by the sword for having openly proclaimed faith in Christ.
