Guglielmo Giovanni Maria Marconi, born on April 25, 1874, and ennobled as the 1st Marchese di Marconi by King Victor Emmanuel III in 1929, was an Italian radio-frequency engineer, inventor, and politician. His groundbreaking work led to the creation of a practical wireless telegraph system, for which he shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics with Ferdinand Braun....
