Saint Leoba, also known as Lioba or Leofgyth (c. 710 – September 28, 782), was an Anglo-Saxon Benedictine nun and is recognized as a saint by the Church. Born in England, she left Wimborne Minster with her companions to join Saint Boniface's mission to Germany in 746. Leoba played a significant role in establishing Benedictine nunneries at Kitzingen and Ochsenfurt, contributing to the evangelization of the region....
