Saint Nicomede

Saint Nicomede, whose feast is observed on September 15, was a martyr of unknown era and origin. The Roman Martyrology and historical records from Bede and his imitators place his feast day on this date. He was buried in a catacomb near the gate of Via Nomentana in Rome.
