Biography
Nunzio Sulprizio, born on April 13, 1817, in Pescara, Italy, was a Roman Catholic who worked as an apprentice blacksmith. Known for his gentle and pious nature, he lived with poor health throughout his short life. He passed away on May 5, 1836, at the young age of 19. Nunzio's beatification took place in late 1963 following the recognition of two miracles attributed to his intercession. Pope Francis canonized him on October 14, 2018, after confirming a second miracle. His feast day is celebrated annually on May 5.
Nunzio Sulprizio's life and devotion are remembered for his gentle nature and the miracles he performed through his intercession. He is venerated as an example of piety and humility in the Catholic Church.
