Saint Agnellus of Naples, also known as Aniello or Agnello, was born in Naples, Italy in the year 535. He lived during a time of great turmoil, as the Saracen invasions threatened the safety of his city and its people. Despite the chaos around him, Agnellus devoted his life to God and became a hermit near Naples.
