Saint Ammon of Heraclea, a deacon of the early Church, stands as a witness to the faith in the face of imperial persecution. Though the precise date and place of his birth remain unknown, his life was dedicated to serving the Christian community in the region of Heraclea. His vocation led him to evangelize and nurture the faith, most notably bringing forty young women to the Christian life through his pastoral care and instruction.
